Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Get Prepaired, Corp. d/b/a Prepared ("Prepared," "we," "us," or "our") collects from chefs, partners, website visitors, and others who use our services — including the Chef Chat iOS app, our website eatprepared.com, and our operations tools — and how we use it.
What we collect
- Contact and account information. When you sign in to Chef Chat or work with Prepared, we may collect your phone number, name, business or kitchen name, email address, and related account information.
- Messages and communications. We store the messages you send through Chef Chat, SMS, WhatsApp, email, or other support channels, along with replies from our operations team and metadata such as timestamps, so conversations are available to you and our staff.
- Operational information. Information you share with us as part of running your kitchen — menu changes, payout requests, schedule updates, order-related notes, and account preferences.
- Payment and payout information. Records related to payout requests and payment status. We do not store full bank account numbers or card details; payment processing is handled by our payment partners.
- Technical information. Standard technical data such as app version, iOS version, device type, IP address, logs, crash reports, and similar diagnostics so we can operate, secure, and improve the service.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone audio, or precise GPS location unless we ask and you choose to provide it. Like most online services, our vendors may process IP addresses and similar technical information to operate and secure the service. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How we use it
- To answer your messages and coordinate with you about your kitchen.
- To send you reminders, push notifications, or other messages about cutoffs, payouts, and schedule changes.
- To diagnose issues, improve the product, and prevent abuse.
- To meet our legal, accounting, safety, and compliance obligations.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted vendors to operate the service. They may process information on our behalf for hosting, communications, storage, security, analytics, and support, and only see the data they need to perform their function:
- Slack — internal staff messaging about your conversation.
- Twilio — SMS and WhatsApp delivery when you are not on the app.
- Cloudflare — message storage, request routing, and security.
- Google Workspace — operational records and account lookups.
- Vercel — web hosting.
- Apple Push Notification service — delivering push notifications to your iPhone.
- Expo — mobile app build, update, and push delivery infrastructure.
We may disclose information if required by law, in response to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Prepared, our chefs, partners, or the public.
How long we keep it
We keep account, message, and operational records while you have an active relationship with Prepared and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for business operations, accounting, legal compliance, safety, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention. When we no longer need the information, we delete it or de-identify it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to appeal or complain about certain decisions. We honor applicable privacy rights requests as required by law. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request, and we may retain certain information when required or permitted by law — including for accounting, security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance purposes.
Security
Phone numbers and session tokens are stored on your device using iOS Keychain (encrypted). Messages are transmitted over HTTPS. Server-side storage is access-controlled and limited to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information.
Your choices
- Access, correct, or delete your data. Email support@eatprepared.com and we will confirm and process your request.
- Stop receiving messages. Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out, sign out of Chef Chat in Settings, or disable push notifications in your iOS Settings.
Children
Chef Chat is intended for adults running food businesses with Prepared. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
